The concept that love, empathy, or compassion rose from a stew of chemicals is the biggest gobbledygook of all time.

Hmm (know I'm by far no expert on the subject) but what about domestic pigs?
I seem to recall them having more ribs than wild boars!?

Well I really have to ask what you mean by this. What does it mean to "modify a family or class level animal" or to "demonstrate mutation". All animals (indeed all living organisms) are members of both families and classes under the Linnaean system, but you seem to be implying that...

Right - and as for the other question?
"Even if you believed it could have, I'm thinking you would still basically believe what you believe now regarding Jesus and creation. Is that fair to say?"

As I've stated before, science needs to demonstrate two things. 1) animate inorganic matter. 2) Genetically modify a family or class level animal and demonstrate mutation.
In other words, prove it.

Well, I certainly look forward to seeing you demonstrate that cognition is an "illusion created by chemical and electrical impulses of the brain". On the contrary, and as suggested by both modern cognitive science and philosophy of mind, the mind seems to be a product of the body, rather than...

Well, you hit the nail right on the head! :)
A purpose must have intention set up as an object or end to be attained. Intention demands someone to intend and a set of instructions to carry it out. Meaning carries the weight of significance, or to be significant. If something or someone is significant,...

Speaking as a layman, I wouldn't say the atheists around here state that they 'know it' overmuch. Science does not have all the answers and they do know that.

Okay, where to start on this...
Pascal's wager doesn't seem to take into account that there are many different deities that people worship. For example, just say you erroneously believe in the Christian deity, and Allah is the 'real' god, then you go to hell.

There is nothing in the world that is 100% certain, as you very well know. Everybody knows that new facts could emerge that would topple a previously accepted scientific fact, but it would be impractical to state this over and over again.

Who is waving his arms hysterically? Abiogenesis is not a proven theory and everybody knows that, but it is the best hypothesis there exists (in the sense that it fits snugly into existing physics).
Since you have no better hypothesis to come up with, you should stop the arm-waving and the sermons.

100% certainty within science would be highly difficult to achieve simply because it would require omniscience of all evidence. However, why settle for 75% and claim it to be fact? Why not just say with honesty and transparency, "We're 75% certain"?
